Environment day celebration
To commemorate World Environment Day, the Eco Club of our school organized a series of awareness-building and eco-friendly activities. The aim was to inspire students to appreciate nature and take active steps to protect the environment.
Highlights of the Day:
1. Common Assembly:
The day began with a special morning assembly dedicated to environmental awareness. It included a thought-provoking message on the importance of living in harmony with nature and protecting our planet.
2. Speech:
A student delivered a meaningful speech, emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and individual responsibility in preserving the environment.
3. Paristhithi Ganam:
A group of students performed Paristhithi Ganam (Environmental Song), which conveyed the message of nature conservation through heartful llyrics.
4. Tree Plantation Ceremony:
A tree plantation drive was conducted within the school campus. The saplings were planted by our respected Principal and Ibrahim Sir, setting an inspiring example for all students and staff members.
5. Sapling Distribution:
As part of promoting greenery beyond the school campus, saplings were distributed to students from Class 6 onwards. Students were encouraged to plant these at home and take care of them as part of their contribution to a greener future.
6. Nature Walk:
A nature walk to the nearby field was organized to help students connect with nature firsthand. They had the opportunity to observe local plants, birds, and natural surroundings, fostering a deeper appreciation for biodiversity.
Conclusion:
The Environment Day celebration was a great success, marked by enthusiastic participation from students and staff alike. Through these activities, the Eco Club succeeded in spreading awareness and motivating students to become active guardians of the environment. The efforts of the entire school community, especially the involvement of our Principal and teachers, made the event memorable and impactful.
